Stunning Floating House in Lagos with Neutral Palettes

The design of floating house that will be reviewed in this article is a contemporary house located in Lagos. That is a town along the Atlantic Ocean, in which it is the Barlavento region of the Algarve, located in southern Portugal. The Portuguese studio called Mario Martins Atelier had designed this house with named of the House in Lagos. The house that features neutral palettes of grey and white was completed in 2012.

In relation to this design, we provide also some photos of this House in Lagos. The concept of floating house design building is based on the second floor of this house that is floating. The structure of the house is based on the concrete material painted in neural palettes included grey and white.

The facades of the house are designed in open plan by accomplishing the glass window and some black panels at the side. At the first floor, we will get the design of opened swimming pool after the concrete staircases. The top roof is situated as lounge space by accomplishing some concrete structure to be seat enjoying the views around.

Now, let’s check the interior of this building. When entering to the room inside, we will find a small indoor pond under the staircases. Then, the interior design included the public area is situated in spacious area with no panels separated.

It consists of the living, dining, and kitchen area. The living area is designed with black L-shaped leather sofas with a small white table. To shine the room, they apply a high stainless steel floor lamp in curving style. It is different with the dining area where there applies circular light chandelier to shine the wooden furniture below.
